Website Information:  Bob & Darian Poliachik graciously volunteer their time to keep our website running.  They update the website 3-4 times per week with the latest Killer Whales Message, Meet Times, and News.  A Weekly Message page has been added. All messages for the summer are archived on the website.  If you misplaced your Red Book, you can print a new Red Book off the website.  There are now photos from the last 2 swim meets available for viewing and purchasing on the svkw.com website! Click the "Pictures" link on the left side of the page. Some of the photos appear right on the Pictures page, but to see them all, click the link at the top of the Pictures page (it says "Click here to go to the Kodak Photo Gallery Website to view & order the following photos & more").   Check out www.svkw.com  Also, if you have photos of your own that you'd like to post, they have opened a swim team account on Kodak Gallery that anyone can upload photos to. The directions for doing this are at the bottom of the “Pictures page.

Date change – Wednesday, July 23rd is the date of the New & Improved Banquet – Please see the flyer for all of the information.

We are looking for parents who would like to serve on the 2009 SVST Board.  Please consider helping to continue the success of our team.  Contact any of the current board members for more information or just respond to this email.

Cary City Meet at Scottish Hills.  This meet will be held on Saturday, June 28th.  Not all coaches can be in attendance, but we will have coverage.  Also note, if you do choose for your child to swim in this meet, you may be asked to volunteer as a timer or other position (all teams will be assigned volunteer positions).  There is a charge to pay to swim in invitational meets.  For the Cary City meet, the cost is $3 per event and $3 surcharge per swimmer.  The cost of any relays will be paid by the team.

If you would like your child to swim in the Cary City meet, Coach Maya MUST KNOW by Friday, June 20th at 4:00.  I know this is a quick turnaround, but they have extended the deadline to accommodate our team.  If interested, please send Coach Maya an email with your child's name, the strokes that they would like to swim in and if they are available for relays (should we have any).  Once I receive the email, you will be expected to pay the entry fee (even if you change your mind about going to the meet or your child becomes ill...).  Please send payment in an envelope with your child's name on it to the coaches ASAP.  Checks can be made out to SVST.

Warm-ups for the morning session will begin at 7:00am. The meet will start at approximately 8:00am with opening announcements. The first event should begin at approximately 8:15am. Swimmers 10 and under will swim from approximately 8:15am to 1:30pm. The older swimmers, 11 and up, will begin warm-ups shortly after the early session ends, approx. 1:30pm. The afternoon session will begin approximately 2:30pm and end about 7:00pm, weather permitting.  The meet is scheduled to be much smaller this year (Preston and Lochmere will NOT be attending).  The events are the same as a dual meet (medley relay, free, back, breast, fly, and free relay in that order).  The only change is that 6&unders only have free and back AND must swim the entire 25 yards.  Swimmers 7&over may swim in 3 or the 4 strokes and 6&unders may swim in both events.
